Renault Z.E. keeps making headlines worldwide. Take the Twizy, for instance. This “revolutionary vehicle” started off the month by a little trip to India. The car was actually being displayed outside Europe for the first time, in front of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, no less! It was confirmed that the Renault Z.E. range will be launched in India by 2014.
But India was not the only place going crazy for Renault’s electric vehicles. A letter of intent signed in Reunion also made strides. Renault will test 50 electric vehicles charged from renewable energy sources, right on the island.

Very interesting … and I’m certainly a potential buyer, …. but, I do not want a spacey look just because it’s an electric car doomed to have a futuristic air about it!!! I do not find it appealing, and a car has to be appealing too! Please hand me the Avatarkey, Captain Spock!
The interior has too much “plastic” and fancy lightning about it, I actually want leather and other features giving it a luxurious feeling rather than a cool “techno-spaceship-chill modern operating theater” feeling.
I hope the designers consider the various options to include this very pro-el-car potential costumer.
