Projet SAVE

SAVE (Seine Aval Véhicules Electriques) project, France

Much more than a project - it is a comprehensive research into the realities of electric motoring. The aim is to test electric vehicles and their necessary infrastructure in their everyday environment.
Around 100 cars will be launched on the roads of Yvelines, France, as part of the investigation, in order to meet a number of objectives. These include testing Renault-Nissan Alliance vehicles for private and professional use, establishing a recharging infrastructure along roads, at petrol stations, and in private and public car parks, and carrying out an initial assessment of the technology's carbon footprint.

Numerous vehicles will be made available to businesses, local authorities, and employees at partner companies. Users will be able to test the technology everyday for several months, as well as some 200 recharging points.
SAVE is the first fully electric pilot scheme to be conducted in France.
