Where will the electric cars be built?

PARTNERS

To make electric vehicles affordable to all, facilitate access and ensure their effective use, Renault has teamed up with a number of partners internationally. Through the Renault-Nissan alliance, over 15 countries have already signed up to the project. Political bodies and key partners are making a commitment to emission-free motoring, with energy suppliers, transport operators and network operators coming together to help the world go electric.

Better Place

BETTER PLACE

Better Place aims to make electric vehicles an obvious, practical choice for everyone. Since its establishment in 2007, the organisation has been investing in developing a solution to maximise practicality for drivers, whereby on long-distance journeys, they can exchange their empty battery for a full one – wherever they may be. Better Place will both build and operate a network of charging points for private and public use, and will be able to offer consumers affordable services, based on their actual requirements. Their solution also includes a software network for electric vehicles. This manages access to energy, as well as the technology systems onboard, allowing intelligent navigation, range management and instant access to customer services. Via major initiatives that have already been launched in Israel, Denmark and Australia, and important efforts in countries such as the USA, Japan and Canada, Better Place is working with governments and companies around the world to bring about a global changeover to electric technology.

Biotherm

BIOTHERM ®

Renault and Biotherm®, L’Oréal’s skin biology luxury products brand, have signed a particularly innovative partnership to develop a climate control system that goes beyond the standard function of temperature regulation. The system helps revitalise everyone onboard in three different ways:
• Hydration – unlike standard air-conditioning systems that sometimes dries the skin out, this solution features misting dects on each side of the dashboard, which emit an exclusive substance. Developed by Biotherm®, this rehydrates the skin and producesa feeling of wellbeing.
• Detox – a toxicity detector maintains theair quality, by closing the fans as necessary. Following this, cabin filters capture harmful elements, while emitting substances that care for the skin.
• Active scents: an electric system circulates essential oils adapted to your needs. These can either have a de-stressing effect on your return home from work, or can stimulate, so as to improve concentration whilst driving at night.  As a result of thesolution, you can expect to feel fully relaxed after a ride in the Zoe Preview, as if you'd just stepped out of a spa.
